I hope this new manager does do something about the antics of our footballers, that way we may actually make it to the final of the next world cup, even win.

Don't think we will see much of David Beckham under Fabs really, they fell out at Madrid and to be honest Becks is way past his best anyway. Becks doesnt even have the ability to lift the team anymore which is one of things England have lacked in recent years - a big presence player.

As for Fabs himself - well I would like to think he could take us to the heady heights of Euro or World Cup glory - but I doubt there is going to be an overnite transformation of the squad. Guess we will have to wait and see what the Swiss game brings.

I think Fabs is a great manager, but he has his work seriously cut out trying to transform a squad of under achievers into a team that plays for each other. Hopefully there are lots of decent players coming from the under 21's in the next few years. The current crop of players ain't winners

Saw some rare hunger from England in the 2nd half, my hope is that it remains for up and coming games and it wasnt just the result of a half time arse kicking by Fabs!
