I've connected my computer up to my TV via svhs cable. I get a picture but all I get is a black and white on, what am I doing wrong

I tried this once. I bought a cable (cant remember if it was an SVHS, like you). I got a picture once.. and never again

could be the colour, like what happened on my tv when i first had it.
