I AM UNABLE TO USE MY HANDS DUE TO AN ILLNESS ON A COMPUTER KEYBOARD.

DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A EASY TO USE COMPUTER PACKAGE THAT WILL ENABLE MY SPEECH TO BE CONVERTED INTO A READABLE EMAIL.
HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE!

if you can use a mouse you could use the on-screen keyboard.

start > all programs > accessories > accessibility > on-screen keyboard.

I'm assuming this thread is genuine, and the only way I can think to pass on the info is a bit of spam.

To the best of my knowledge This is one of the better systems.

Are you talking about your pcs ip addy or the one that you get when you go online?? im presuming you have a static internet ip addy, not one that is issued whenever you log on

your internet ip is supplied by your isp and this can be changed by contacting them and requesting a diff ip number (thats if it static)

Depends on why you need to change it.

If its for things like trawling porn sites without getting your IP reported to your Internet Provider, then theres a dinky little sight called anonymouse that will sort you.

If its because of something else like you dont want to get tracked when downloading from torrent sites, or you've been banned from your favourite forum and your IP is locked out, then there are several software solutions. The one I know that works is called hide IP. I don't know if its free or not as because I downloaded a "free" copy.

Hope that helps biggrin.gif

No not really but some of my teanage kids have been using it while I was away for a while and caused a bit of emarrassment. I did contact the company and they said all I had to do was to disconect the modem for a few days, then a new IP affy would be given. I just wondered if any of you experts knew a quicker way. I don't really want to be off line for a few days. !

well if its not a static IP, just switching you modem on and off will do it, no need to wait for a few days. If you contact a mod and ask nicely, they will be able to confirm your IP has changed. Hang on a mo. I have an idea. brb

Right, log into this site jot down your ip addy. reboot your pc and modem, then log back in and see if it has changed. If your on a static IP dont bother as you will be issued the same IP evertime

Thanks mate it's all done and dusted now, the way I did it was to diconect the modem for a few hours and then reconnect. Then Start > Run > type in CMD then a black screen come up and at the end of the cursor, type IPconfig > enter. It then came up with my new IP addy,
