Best cures for hangovers please?

Mine usualy work: A lie-in, a Berocca tablet in a large glass of water, hot bath, more water, another sleep then hot junk food.

But that didnt work today, so I need back up plans.

Especially ones that get you out of the zombie state and stop you looking like this: huh.gif all day.

Best cure for a hangover is not to get one in the first place tongue.gif

Isn't a glass of water before you go to sleep supposed to stop them?
ice

Several I would say as you get dehydrated from alcohol because it acts like a diuretic and makes you pee more fluid out. Better still is to drink plenty of water before going out or during the drinking session itself. Another good cure for a hangover is a good greasy cooked breakfast the next morning of bacon, eggs, black sausage etc followed by a very quiet room for the rest of the day. biggrin.gif

Ooh I might try the milk thing!
Bathsheba Im usualy too fatigued to do a fry up, or walk anywhere that makes them.

Ice, nope wasnt celebrating, I drank too much due to extreme boredom.

i think drinking loads of water cleans out the system and makes you feel better, i usually have a cup of warm water with lemon juice first thing and it seems to calm everything down

so you let us down, i thought you were gonna win the pole comp, then dedicate your victory to all the regulars here. sad.gif

As for hangovers, i tried the hair of the dog, it didn't work, and the bald dog got right pissed off with me.
Elixir
I wasnt even IN the pole comp silly, I was hosting it remember?

It was like the X Pole Factor, and Im still a bit disturbed by it all.

It was poorly organised, if at all. And it was either get drunk or loose my will to live.

Never again.

Put it this way, I now know why Simon Cowell doesnt smile much.

Also, why do women think its sexy to look as if they are wiping thier arse on a pole?

And when men go on the pole they have to take thier clothes off?

And how come Boxer shorts havnt reached that part of wales yet?

And how come I still feel sick...its been 3 days..........

Hello everyone

As someone who is feeling slightly hungover today I would give you my advice on cures. If its too late and you have woken up with a hangover go and buy a meat and potato pie, bollocks to the diet and it will make you feel better, trust me.

However take a milk thistle vitamin BEFORE you go out on the lash, works wonders I promise, but some of us forgot to take 1 last night.

G&T (I may rename to glass of water) sad.gif
Elixir
Yeah, I should get some more Milk Thistle actually. Unclog my liver a bit.
