Mars have from today renamed the Bars Bar the Believe Bar in order to support Englands World Cup bid.
This will remain for the duration of the World Cup.
Its great to see a major comapny getting behind the team

Mars Well, that's one reading.
Another might go along the following lines: a multi-national corporation (Mars Inc., which in this country is responsible for these brands) has found a way to market their fat laden, calorie-busting heavily-processed confectionary by associating it with a team of athletes who - as part of their carefully controlled diets - would never eat such a thing on a regular basis, purely in order to flog a few more bars just to make more money. To state the blinding obvious, eating one of these products couldn't be more unreleated to 22 adults running around on a football pitch 500 or a thousand miles away even if you tried.
Or I might just be one of life's cynics, of course
Incidentally, this is the company that "succumbed to pressure" to get rid of the Kind Size bars, only to come back with the "duo" - two smaller bars in single packet that amounts to something more than the King Size bar it replaced
Well lets put it this way............I dont think they would be doing it if it was a money loser

I dont believe they are doing this because they believe in the Team. They've seen all the England merchandise that fly off the shelves and they want a part of that.

Well, it could have been worse......
They could have renamed it the 'Mars Over-the-Bar' with the slogan:
"Mars - helps you work, rest and take penalties"

*Thinks*
Wouldn't the 'Three Lions Bar' have been more apt?
Or maybe 'It-won't-be-a Picnic bar'
