There's little or nothing can be done for me, but it looks like I'm one handed from now on.

I've damaged a nerve in my left arm (the ultrial(?) ) and half of my left hand is now numb -as if I'd slept on it.
Nerves regenerate at 1mm a day. So if I haven't damaged the outer sheath of the nerve, it should be around 18months before I get my hand back....If I have damaged the outer sheath...it's there for good.

It's odd not knowing where your littlke finger and ring finger is at any time, and instead of a firm grip I've got a dishrag grip with that hand.

It looks like my joinery days are over.

I'm open to any help on this, if you hear of a way to help that nerve recover I'm all ears on the matter.

It's 10 years since I damaged nerves in my face and it's still numb, some days more so than others,

It's not what you would call painful just annoyingly numb...all you can do is keep it moving, it does help.

Never say Never ! I got blown up in the Falklands and was told I would not walk again. Since then I have done 2 maratons. Can't say I did well but got through.

Keep it happening ! My left hand was shattered and I was advised to take up knitting or playing the guitar.
All I am going to say is that the knitting was dreadful and if you listened to me playing the guitar - - You would run.

Hang on in there Boss.

I’m so sorry to hear Harly, you honestly have my deepest heartfelt sympathies; no matter how things look to keep your chin up and I really hope you recover well chum.

I know that’s not overly helpful but I don’t know what else to say.
