It's not often that I ask you to do something for me but today I am asking.

Please spare a thought today for the 96 football fans who were crushed to death at Hillsborough.
15th April 1989.

You might have gathered that I live in Liverpool ? Both cathedrals will ring their bells 96 times and the cities of Liverpool and Sheffield will fall into silence for 2 mins at three 'o six p.m. when the match was stopped.

Recently, the police have put their hands up and said that they were at fault. A bit late in the day. Twenty years down the line and people who lost people ( including Yours Truly) still grieve.

Yea it's not a nice thing for them to have gone through. I watched a program on it recently... lets just say my tear ducts are definately working

Our lot are up at Anfield for the ceremony and I am just doing Potato, Leek and Parsnip soup for 8 along with garlic bread from Asda. Just something simple.

Remember !! nobody can cry like a Scouser and we lost a few of the 96. My cousin Gerry Marsden (ex Pacemakers) will be there, despite his recent op. All in all, it's going to be an emotional day in Scouseland.

15th April 1989 was a sad day for football and an even sadder day for humanity. Awful thing for any family to have to go through.

Thanks for those comforting remarks X

We always claim in Scouseland that we have two of the best football teams in the country,,,,,,,,,
Liverpool and Liverpool reserves.
Yesterday the great army of Evertonians turned out to hang their blue and white scarves on the gates of Anfield.
Yup! they were were united in that grief ,,,,,, but come the next derby match between Everton and Liverpool
,,, they will be verbally at each others throats. It's how it's been.
