Has anyone here ever been to a music festival? Where did you go? When did you go? Who did you see?
Has anyone got tickets for festivals this year? (IE festivals where you camp there for a weekend) Whos playing?
Does anyone actually ever want to go to a festival? Is there a particular band you would go to see it for?
I went to the V festival in 2006 and i loved it.
The bands playing where
Radiohead, Morrissey, Faithless, Paul Weller, Beck, Keane, Bloc Party, Sugababes, Hard-Fi, The Magic Numbers, The Dandy Warhols, Kubb, Gavin DeGraw, The Divine Comedy, The Dead 60s, Daniel Powter, Razorlight, The Charlatans, Starsailor, James Dean Bradfield, Delays, The Feeling, Morning Runner, The Rifles, Dogs, Kasabian, Editors, The Ordinary Boys, We Are Scientists, The Cardigans, Orson, Kula Shaker, Biffy Clyro, The Saw Doctors, Groove Armada, Rufus Wainwright, The Beautiful South, Gomez, Nerina Pallot, Imogen Heap, Richard Hawley, Bic Runga, Lily Allen, Mute Math, The Boy Least Likely To, Fatboy Slim, The Go! Team, Girls Aloud, Kano, Echo & The Bunnymen, Xavier Rudd, Matt Willis, Shack, Phoenix, Pure Reason Revolution, Rushmore, The Cooper Temple Clause, The Dears, Bell X1, The Pipettes, The Crimea, Oceansize, Liam Frost and the Slowdown Family, Jim Noir, Lorraine, James Morrison, Butch Walker, The Grates, The Dodgems, Love Bites, Sandi Thom, Mew, Regina Spektor, My Morning Jacket, Matisyahu, Art Brut, The Young Knives, Captain, The Upper Room, Paolo Nutini, Seth Lakeman, Director, Milk Teeth
Obviously i didnt see all those acts, the ones i saw (from what i can remember, there may of been more) where Radiohead, Paul Weller, Beck, Gavin DeGraw, The Divine Comedy, The Dead 60s, Daniel Powter, Razorlight, The Charlatans, James Dean Bradfield, The Feeling, We Are Scientists, The Cardigans, Orson, The Beautiful South and James Morrison
I would definitely go to a festival again, i just haven't got around to it, as they can be expensive and you need to plan in advance, and often book tickets with no idea who maybe playing

Would you go to any, or would there be someone playing that would really make you want to go?

I'd go to any of the commercial ones, and there'd have to be plenty of names that i'm interested in.. and some big massive names there that i'd want to see just to be a part of

The Big 4 at Sonisphere should be an absolute cracker (not sure what Diamond Head are there for though).
Mr Big at Download

I'd go to dwonload just for Bullet, Zombie (although I prefer his White Zombie stuff "La Sexorcisto" era) and Danzig to be honest, not sure what Linkin Park are trying to achieve nowadays
Good to see Thin Lizzy back but what they are like now I don't know? Have they released any new stuff? The Danmed Things sound promising but they are a super-group of sorts (although Black Spiders could sue them for robbing their sound).
P.s Parkway Drive - ho yes!

Bullet were brilliant at download last year, will be good to hear them play some stuff off their new album though. I'm really looking forward to System of a Down, just hope they're not too rusty after their break. Rob Zombie, Avenged Sevenfold, Korn and Buckcherry should be pretty awesome too. I think Thin Lizzy are just having a comeback tour but not writing any new material, a bit like Billy Idol did last year.
