Has anyone got this game? I was a big fan of it when I had it on the SNES. The other half brought me a Wii for xmas, with MK Wii. Its an absolute steam, I thought going online was purely for Warhammer fanatics, but I have just put my foot in the water so to speak. I have to admit it nice to play against others around the world. If anyone here has got Mario Kart Wii let me know and we'll have ourselves a little tournament.

Yup me gots this as well, very good indeed but I still prefer the N64 version mainly for the memories! I also have it on DS which is fantastic too.
Great stuff indeed although the 360 is where it's at for me and Guitar Hero / Rockband taking up any gaming time I have!

is it possible for people on a wii to log on and a DS to log on and play each other, I've seen DS courses on the net.

If you mean friends, then yes. I think you just need each others codes.

I've been playing it online, but just for fun. I find if you play just to win then the game looses its appeal. And besides playing for fun is far better especially when you knock some guy off the track that plays 24/7
