I woke up feeling as rough as a badgers bum. If it stops me doing stuff on my days off I'm gonna be very pissed off. But now I'm just gonna go out and see how long I last.

I paid a friend's Heating Bill today coz it was only 60p and I just got paid, but on the Receipt it says Balance -20.00. I hope they didn't Fine Her that for not paying the 60p within 10 days

I didn't get enough Internet access time yesterday, so this is what p*ssed me off yesterday. I've been putting it off for weeks, but yesterday I had to go to Fascist Central (Yobcentre plus) to get a HC1 to get a HC2.

As soon as I walk through the doorway two large Lap Dogs (they call them security staff (sic)) pounce and start asking loads of questions. You want to say "F*ck off it's none your business" but if you do they use your 'attitude' as an excuse to give you a load more hassle, even though it's their Attitude that's the problem.

Then you have to wait in a long queue of people who are depressingly defeated by a Fascist beaurocracy and awaiting processing, under the beady eyes of 2 Lap Dogs and at least 5 Cameras (that's how many I could see), in one Room this is. What you are waiting for is to be given a Form by a Fascist Underling at a Booth.

There are 3 Public Booths (and a number of private ones) but only one of them is likely to be open with an Underling working. They haven't got the Staff or resources (Money) they say. Strangely they have got the Staff to hassle people as we come through the doorway and to man the many Cameras, oddly they have got the Money to pay for all these Staff and all this equipment.

Why is it necessary to go to all that expense just to make someone stand in a queue to get a Form to see if they qualify for another Form? Well the more harassment they give you and the more unpleasant they make the experience for you the more likely you are to give up on the idea of claiming any entitlement, in depair.

If you are going to be treated like a Criminal there might be more Dignity in being one, right?

Luckily the Lap Dogs heeded the Warning Looks I gave them and did not make a major incident necessary upon this occasion. Last time they tried to throw me out and there was an argument with a Manager and they threatened to call the Police.

The first 'Form', the HC1, is actually a 20 page booklet that I have to fill in and send off to Newcastle, where there will be another, larger building full of Offices and Beaurocrats and Rubber Plants and Paper Clips and so on. Here my Claim will be 'assessed' at great Public expense. The 'assessment' will consist of attempts to find me ineligible for any assistance. If that fails I'll be sent a HC2 that will entitle me to a free Dental Checkup in February.

I estimate that the dental Checkup will cost £8 to £15 depending on what the Dentist does (or claims on the Form to have done). You can attempt your own estimate of the cost of the Offices (including Furniture, Computers, Rubber Plants etc.), Beaurocrats, Lap dogs, Cameras, Forms, Overheads, Proceedures etc. Just the cost of 'assessing' my Claim will easily cost multiples of the cost of the Dental Treatment I may eventually receive.
