My boys have gone to school today, the school have organised something special, Oh goodie i think to myself surely its something to do with the Queen after all it is her birthday!!. How wrong can I be. The big suprise today is a famer is taking in live sheep, and live cows to explain to the children how breeding these animals is important for survival, ok I can cope with that, but this is the best bit, also we should dig deep into our pockets because if we send the money to AFRICA, they too can but cows, chickens etc, so they can survive. Jesus H its the queens birthday, i'm not a royalist, i couldnt care less if shes here or not, thats my opinion, but others think different, thats why they should have took in a flag, had non uniform day, had a special speech about the Queen what ever, dont turn this into another fundraiser for the Africans. I've also been invited to a party tomorrow night to celebrate ST GEORGES DAY, anyone remember him, he was our patron saint, do you think the school are waving the St Georges flag, errr no, My kids think the flag is a sign of the world cup, ok, this is partly my fault I could sit down and explain how he's our patron saint and its not just a symbol of the world cup, but at the same time I think the school have a responsibility to incorporate it into their cirriculum , after all the school were quick to celebrate

We should have proper celebrations for St Georges day, it should be a public holiday, we should all have street parties and bring back a sense of community.
