My mate decided to go to Ireland for the weekend..... At 4 am this morning luckily I was asleep and the phone was on Silent. Anyway he phone me later and aks me to book the flights on line for him because he does not have a credit card, he was going to give me the money on Tuesday when he got back because his account was overdrawn, anyway he gives me the times and the date when and where. I did it completed the task, I did not want to do it but you know how it is beacuse its a mate (My Best mate in fact) you do it any way - so I started work then I realised that I had put the wrong date for departure - I had put next weeks date so phoned him as early as I could thinking that he would try and phone the company to change the times and dates, did he F*** he said to me to try now I am at work which is busy especially on Friday he was not, and when I phoned later is out drinking with apparently No money! Now I am left with the stress of trying to get the times changed - Saturday is very busy day for I have alot on. I no its my fault, and I am looking at have to pay for the full amount of the cancelled flight because he can not go next week but the fact that HE HAD MORE TIME THAN ME TO SORT THIS SITUATION OUT AND THE FACT HE WENT OUT DRINKING AFTER TELLING ME HE HAD NO MONEY you could see why I am a liitle P eed off!

Random people who manage to find out my email address and message me on MSN. And not just that, these random people that don't even know me sit and treaten to 1) beat me up then, after me telling them they could try 2) them threatening to kill me. Then after I tell them they could try that too, they start cursing at me... So I told him/her/them that they wouldn't be saying half of the stuff they were saying if they were in front of my (and, I'm a pretty big guy...), to which they replied 'Oh yeah, well come meet me for a fight' (except in the weird SMS english everyone seems to use these days).

So this guy names his place, obviously thinking I was someone I'm not... I think it was only after I told him there was no way in h*ll I was going all the way down to Edinburgh just to waste my time beating him senseless that he left me alone...

It was pretty funny up till a couple of hours later, when I realized he could've given out my email address to god knows how many people...

Tday has p***** me off, A member of staff never turned up so I was on my own luckily it was quiet tonight which also p***** me off as I like to keep busy and I ended up having to look busy!

Everyday Seems to be pi**ing me off lately, still no luck with work , but a few lined up fingers crossed

Anything at the Mo Maddy just to get some money in , if i dont i either lose the flat or the car or both...LOL have to laugh sometimes But i have Driving, Multi drop , security, engineering all jobs ive applied for , just not having much in the way of replies

As long as what ever i do covers 15K pa and over then i`ll be just about able to cope...LOL between me and the wife, before i lost my job due to health we was on 31k a year which was just about holding us with a pinch of overdraft ...LOL dont you just love overdraft...LOL

If you have management experience then you can earn 15k. I hope you do find a job soon, I walked out of a job, ran up a huge dept and after 4 years I am still paying it off! The Boss was an a**** who did not respect any person no matter who they were or what they did!

I know that Feeling IAC i`ve had a few Jobs that have ended badly, still i can only hope Thank IAC mate , I might have to go back in to Printer Engineering see what happens, i used to be an engineer for Epson years ago, thought i could do better , " WHAT A FOOL " still you make foolish choices, when your that age...LOL

You are right! I made a stupid choice when I left school, I went into the motor trade! I am in a dilema at the moment, I am in a job where I was in charge of a department, Now I am not, the new Manager does not want to leave, in fact I have been given the respect and actually listened to (Wow), I am being pressured into apllying to a national company which with my experience I will be given more responsablility and duties. I know this will not be the news that you are obviously wanting to here, but what I am saying is choose the right job, then work at it eventually you can acheive what you want. Good Luck!

That is my total aim, I will run my own company, that is my ambition! There is no wishes or dreams, it is determination. I was told about a part time job, I apllyed, got the job and with perceverience here I am Working as A supervisor/Manager of a hotel - I had no experience when I started, I know I said I ran a deptment I still do in a way(long Story) but I have learned alot of things, I pick things up really quickly and I think that is the key. If you have common sense, it is easy to pick things up, at the same time never put yourself down, always believe in yourslef!

Well what ever i seem to do , i can more or less put my hand to it straight away, like when i worked for Epson i done two days training instead of five and was out on the road, with a 94% fix rate.

Or in my last company working in Reverse Osmosis, that was more or less here is your tools, there is the parts, get on with it , i made 6 units on the first day in that dept, which became my dept. ok the pay wasnt alot greater, but it was slightly.

But know im only saying to myself to give up any work that involve any sort of heavy lifting, which i know i cant do no more. SO i got two , well three choices, One , take a Driving Job for now , save as much as i can so i can set up for myself, Two , Go work for a good company as an engineer and work my way up and stay there, or Three, work for a good company work my way up, and back stab them, by taking their customers, and starting up myself..LOL

I am going to focus on your third choice a little bit, most companies do have a clause which forbids you to discuss personal business opportunities while being under contract with them, if you tout for business while working for a company, the company can sack you with an immediate effect under the gross misconduct act, the clause is that you can not contact any company which you have contact with and are account holders of that company for one year after leaving.

I understand what you are saying, be very carefull, my advice would be take your second chioce!
