I recently applied for emigration (but was turned down). And I since received an add asking me if I wanted to buy any properties, so, in a fit of sullen mischief I asked if they had any in new Zealand. I am now deluged by e-mails (spam) offering property in the far flung corners of the world...That'll teach me

A note has just been posted through my letterbox. It's roughly 2 inches by 8 inches long, and hand written in red ink.
I quote....

I found it a bit sinister, so did the missus, and I tell you, things are going to go badly for the pillock who stuck it through the door if they show up again.

Better keep the Letters in a safe place in case there's more bother and it gets litigious.
I'm really pi*sed off with the 'Health' (sic) Centre. They've gone all posh and important. Every year I call in and ask for a Flu Jab and they say "sure, how about Tuesday at 3pm" or words to that effect. This year it's "We're not sure we can get Supplies" and "You'll be contacted if you are in an 'at risk' group etc. I'm 'at risk' of getting the Flu without it aren't I?
Also I used to go and see the Doctor and it took as long as it took. Now there's a sign behind the reception desk that says if you want more than 'the usual' 10 minutes you have to "apply for an extended Interview".
It's enough to make you sick.

The Local Authority is making me claim my Housing Benefits all over again even though I only successfully claimed it 2 months ago. Each time they make me claim again I have to worry that I'll lose Benefit or that they'll take the Roof over my head and make me Homeless. They also want reams of Documentation to accompany my Claim.
Real Fraudsters can produce forged Documents a lot easier than I can produce real ones, and anyway most Fraud is committed by people who work within the system. It's just a Govenment ploy to pinch Pennies off the Poorest and give them to politically popular groups at Election time. Or to provide bigger Salaries for people who work for, or are, the Government.

Sore throat
No you as well...........Sophie was off yesterday with what I had last week and now Ben, he's got a really sore throat and temp etc.
Yeah I think this is the start of my cold, at last. I've been trying to stop it coming for weeks now
Well if its anything like what I had last week it only lasted 3 days, it could have been worse.
That sounds promising, but a sore throat is usually the start of a long drawn out cold for me, bringing almost deafness in at least one ear
Gargle every couple of hours with warm salt water............it works wonders.
