I don't worry about her being bullied at school cos altho' I don't think she could handle any physical stuff (although being 5'7" at 12 she should be able to) I've heard her verbally destroy grown men (FBG's brother suffers regularly). I wonder where she gets that from

I got my mouth from arguing with my dad all the time. He always used to think that because he was the male, he should make all the decisions. We all disagreed but no one would ever say so, so I did. I took great pleasure in it which used to wind him up even more.
We only ever got on once I moved out.

You've gone one better than me then, I have only spoken to my dad once in over 6 years. We fell out over the kids as he favours my brothers 2 in a big way. It was never much of a problem till aftewr my mum died as she always kept a lid on it. I put my foot down in a big way and told him to F*** off. The only time I've spoken to him since was at my nephews 18th.
God, I cant imagine what that must be like.

Wow, that puts the antics of my sister in law into perspective. I say ex, but they arent actually divorced yet. You're right though. She isnt a member of my family and I never really saw her as being a part of it anyway.

It took me until 24 to front up to mine. I don't believe he actually tried to chest up to me. I put him in his place with a few home thuths apparently he wouldn't speak to anyone for days after that.
Dosen't matter though we talk now, but I lost a whole lotta respect for him after that day. Scorpio, he was a lot like your dad, sort of like "I'm the bread winner so I'm always right." (He was the bread winner cause he didn't allow my mother to work.)
He actually told us that we didn't need a career because we only needed to work until we got married.....Dickhead!

I may be wrong but i think the strongest women usualy are the ones that realy never got along with there fathers.

Bit of a generalisation don't you think? I have always got on well with my Dad, he is one of the most important people in my life but I also know i'm a very strong person, won't take any hassle from anyone, and I can stand my ground.
My sons friend came round with his mum to see if Alfie wanted to go and play (they're off school today) and somehow I got left with the other child (didn't see that manouvre coming) and now they are just arguing the whole time and i've got this till 3pm!
