Ladies - if you lost your hair, how would you react?

Men - Losing your hair is less taboo and more acceptable for you. But regardless, if you've lost some already, how do you feel about it. And if you havent, how would you feel?

It wouldn't really bother me much, it's more of a shock for a woman I think. Women are judged more on thier appearance than a man is so it must be hard for a woman.

I tend to take more after my dad's side of the family in terms of phsical characterististics, where there is a inherited premature hair loss. So with my thin hair I assumed I'd be losing mine, well, about, now, really, and I'd long since accepted that this would be the case. Not too happy about it, but there you go. But as it happens, I've not started losing my hair yet.

My (younger) brother also assumed that I would lose my hair, and not him, as as he takes after my mum's side of the family, which doesn't have the hair loss, and has always had thicker hair. Bit surprised to seem him a couple of years ago after not seeing him for about a year - he's noticeably losing his hair. Looks like he got that gene, then ph34r_anim.gif

Hello

Oolongcha I like a man with shaven head unfortunately. I shave all my body hair every day. Sometimes wax. I would be happy to not have to do that.

Apparently, you can get a scan to test for the hair loss gene.

The is no need to be concerned about losing your hair

I have a receding hairline and that was one of the reasons why I nowadays opt to have my head shaved. It just gets impossible to style hair around my hairline and in the end I find myself growing hair longer in some places or styling it to hide receding areas so I just take the lot off and wear my wooly/furry hat!

Luckily, i take after my dads side of the family. Even my grandfather (on my dads side) has a full head of hair. I doubt i'd be too fussed if i started loosing it anyway. I wouldn't try and salvage it, i'd just have a shaven head. I'd just be a bit gutted cos i wouldn't be able to play around with styles like i can atm.
