It’s Probably only a matter of time before this new FBI paranormal series finds its way on to Sky One or BBC2. For those of you still feeling a little empty after the X Files ended a few years ago, this will more than make up for it, I’d even go to say that this could make the X Files look very sugar coated.

In a nut shell 'Fringe' is about a team of FBI agents who investigate cases which are outside the Bureau’s mainstream case files, like The X Files, however the cases this team investigate are very post 9/11.

Head of the team is a very nice looking blonde, who is a bit like agent Scully a bit reluctant to believe. With her are a father and son team: the son is a running away from himself, and gambling debt bla bla bla type thing, and the father is a mad doctor has just been released from a mental institute, which is what gives this show a real edge, because the cases these guys investigate need a mad genius. And watching over the team in a very dark and broody FBI boss, who’s a bit like Skinner but a bit more moodier.

Anyhow, I thought it was a very good yarn, but the one thing that impressed me most of all was the political message it sent out. In a post 9/11 society we are forever hearing about secret documents being found on a train, or British learner driver details being lost from a company in the US. It is also clear to me that we live in a world now where the head of a global corporation has access to more classified secrets that our top government ministers, make no mistake this could be the next big thing on TV.
