I went to the post office on Friday to get my new tax disc. I went with the form I got from the DVLA telling me how much it would be so i went with the correct money and there was a problem. Apparently they had classified my car wrong, or something, so i had to to pay over £20 more. I wasnt happy realmad.gif The thing was, that i just had to take the post office womans word for it. She could have been on the fiddle erm.gif

I do my car and bike online at DVLA its quick and simple and you don't have to wait in line
behind old people smelling of wee getting their pension.

Thanks for that. On the day after, i went on the DVLA site and checked that the amount i paid was right, and it was. But even still, i wasnt happy..

OMG i was wrong, i did pay too much realmad.gif

When i checked the DVLA site before, i was looking at cars registered before 2001, where the tax goes on engine size. I didnt look at cars registered after that time which means mine is classified on emissions. I checked those, and my form was correct, i should have paid £79, not the £101 that the post office charged me realmad.gif

I will be on the phone to the DVLA tomorrow
