Has anyone been following this series. I know it may sound boring, but the life of a sea fisherman is anything but. I certainly couldn't do the job, I pretty good with boats, but gutting fish, while you're bobbing about on 20 foot waves is a bit much, I'd certainly be puking my internal organs up. Next time you're tucking into a bit of haddock thing what these men go though to put it on your plate.

I saw a previous series, a couple of years ago, and loved it. I'm be the other way round - an embarrassingly weak stomach with regard to the boat side of things (despite my family having sea connections) but I'd be ok at hacking up bits of fish, which I've done purely for culinary purposes.

Yes love this one, I loved deadliet catch aswell.......................proper geezers doing a geezers job I couldn't hack it either

Perhaps we're not thinking about this the right way, though... I seem to remember that you're a bit of an angler; so if we pool our strengths - you fish; JC's nominted himself as Boat Man on the strength of his post; I'll hack up what's been caught.... and we've sort of got one BUKF Trawlerman between us
