I found this article where the front man, quite rightly, rejects all blame and says

I'm not an expert on slipknot, although i know they scream alot and speak with deep gravelly voices in their songs but i never thought their music was / is "satanic"
And it makes me annoyed that the people around these kids are always quick to blame someone or something else, whether it be music (usually Marilyn Manson), video games or movies, but never look at themselves
