Just wondering if anyone here has ever been banned or suspended from a forum and why, if you're willing to say

Yep. I've been banned from a forum (it's not there anymore though).

Someone started spouting "God is great" on a thread, and I waded in. Next thing I know all my post on that thread were deleted, and I got a pm saying (basically) STFU. I asked why I could not speak and got banned for my cheek.

Bet it was some sort of we love god thing and because you argued against them you got chucked

Yea, you see them around Leeds ALL the time saying I'm going to hell and I was like ok I'll see you there There was once a guy that tried to preach in KFC. Needless to say he was chucked out haha!

lol there always in bradford shouting praise the lord preaching and that is right next to kfc maybe they like kfc lol

My mrs was banned from channel 4 forums for swearing at someone pmsl. They are soooo up thier own arses on that forum

never been on them... hmm this might need some investigating

Oh yeah i remember that happening I've said before that i went on there a few times, and what a strange place. It has everything there, all the worst things a forum could have and i just didnt feel right there.

That's no accolade being booted off Ch4 forums. Say the wrong thing there and the odds are that someone with 30 dozen accounts will use them all to complain, and because the mods have no idea who is who just boot anyone who gets more than 4 complaints against them.
That place is famous for it.

I was banned from a forum called grumpycunts.com.

The sole purpose of the forum was to flame and abuse others.

I was banned for being too abusive.

Yes, I've been banned from a forums - but it's hardly worthy of that title

It was one of those forums full of trolls, assorted weirdos and on top of that, it was owned/run by a couple of really evil little shits, who would deliberately cause trouble using assumed alias's to subsequently increase traffic as people logged on to see the fighting and flaming. It ran/runs on conflict.

Really evil dump of a place - getting banned is a good thing from there.

I have never done owt bad enough to get banned in fact I dont think I ever got a warning how effin boring is that

I think it can be a hard job if you are in the position to have to decide to warn or ban someone on a forum.
I have actually Banned myself from a forum!

It really can be a very hard thing to decide to do, sometimes you have to, but I consider it a defeat if you could not resolve the problem with a warning or a PM.

I don't think it's necessarily a defeat - sometimes it's simply impossible to reason with people, howevever may warnings you give them, or PMs you send them.
