Any one had a pop at making greeting cards? My sister has just started doing it, bloody hell, they are brilliant, far better than you can by in the shops, and she has only been doing it a fortnight.
Any one here had a go at it?

I have kind of, but its an expensive thing to do. I agree they look much better than the ones in the shops though. You can buy so many things to put on the cards and they look great

Have you seen the water fall one's? You pull a thin strip of card and three different small pictures come downwards one at a time, so you can have a picture of a guy holding a fishing rod, then the next could be him casting out, and the last one could be of him reeling in a fish. They are shit hot so they are.
I think that its sort of getting in to oregarme as well but its very effective.

The things i've seen them do on QVC are amazing. I cant remember them all exactly, but they've shown what you described, TT and more like cards that open in all different directions

You can get kits from Hobbycraft, but it can be quite expensive. I'm thinking of doing it this cristmas, I suppose it all depends what type of card you want, whether its bits of tin foil, glitter, and stuff, or if you're and artist you can design them from scratch.

I find it quite cheap, I just go to clintons for card a local craftshop for stickers and decoration and I go to another local craftshop for different types of paper. Usually my6 cards end up costing me around the same as I would buy in a shop and people always give you a compliment for making it

So I think your better making them, they get appreciated more.

I usually find the £1 ones are tacky... but that's just what I see. It's nice to get a handmade card, It makes you feel like there's been some effort been put into it.
