New things keep cropping up. We have to replace the roofing due to problems with damp. The house has cost us over £30,000 in repairs so far. None of these problems were discovered by the building surveyor when we bought the house, otherwise we could have negotiated with the owners enabling us to knock the repair costs off the price of the house. Unfortunately the faults were only found once we moved in.
