Riots as Tesco introduce the £5.00 loaf.
Tesco security forces had to use tear gas and water cannons to disperse angry mobs as the price of a sliced white loaf hit the £5.00 mark. The Prime Minister Peaches Geldof said that the government was working hard to fix the price at £4.99, but outside forces such as the French blockade of English ports was making things "difficult". She did not comment on demands to reduce the bread tax by 2% down to 35%.

800 MILE UNDERGROUND RESERVOIR "NEARLY DRY" SAY EXPERTS
North America Braced For Water Shortages
For millions of years it has sat deep underground beneath the many millions of Americans that used it. The Ogallala Aquifier was at one point estimated to supply one third of America's irrigation water. Now the aquifer that stretches from Texas to South Dakota is - experts warn - nearly depleted completely.
Farming in the Texan High Plains died away completely in the last 30 years as farmers realised the danger of over stretching this natural resource that was cut off from it's own natural sources years ago.

Pla-Pla goes Beddy-Byes.
Pla-Pla the last Giant Panda has been Cryogenically frozen in the hopes that one day the cloning techniques will be able to create a male version and the species can be re-introduced to the wild. The last male panda in captivity died one year ago, and attempts to find one in the wild have proved fruitless. There was little hope of ever finding one in the last five square miles of wilderness in Nu-China, as one has not been spotted there in five years.
Pla-Pla brings the total of Cryogenically frozen species to 54 in the Alaska Species Safe Complex (ASS Complex).
For details of the species frozen and those planned for freezing go to the site

Pollution free cars cause global warming warning.
The spokesperson for Greenpeace, Professor Abel Boutblank today claimed he had absolute proof that the zero-emission hydrogen cars we all use, are in fact causing Global Warming. The cars which burn hydrogen and air producing steam as exhaust, were introduced 25 years ago to replace fossil fuel burning cars which were blamed as a major cause of Global Warming because of the carbon emission exhaust.
But Professor Abel says that the steam being produced is causing increased cloud formation, increased rainfall which is destroying the rainforest at an ever increasing destructive rate, and unless we cease using hydrogen cars, there will be no rainforest within 10 years and we will all die.
Greenpeace say they will continue to harass Japanese sushi fleets until the world realises the danger it is in.
The hydrogen car production CEO ‘Tuscan’ said in reply “What a dingbat!”

Trade Unions and their members, are currently on Strike around the country. They are seeking a 25 % increase in their salaries. Average workers pay is £10k - £ 12k per month, and many people are strugling to pay their mortgages, and utility bills
