Ok, this is similar to other games on here, but you're not allowed to just answer with yes / no / one word.

You ask a question, the next person answers and leaves a question for the next person to answer

If you could go away on holiday tomorrow where would it be?
ricky1709
I would fly off to Tuscany and would stay in Florence

Where in the UK where you choose to live other than where you are now?
Scorpio
Scotland with by bfs family

What other sites do you have open right now? If any
ricky1709
Hiya Scorpio

At the moment I have google open?

Is there any reason why you do the job you have now.
Scorpio
Evening Ricky biggrin.gif

Well, there was nothing that i was interested in doing once i left college so my mum and dad marched me down to the job centre one day. I found this nice little admin job to start me off and ive been there ever since, working my way up.. I couldnt leave. Even now theres nothing I could do apart from this, and I think it suits me pretty well

How did you come to starting up your own business?
ricky1709
2 years ago I decided I had to do it or regret it forever and so what my kids call my mid life crisis came about. My own business.

Where you live now, are you close to any mountains? Which ones?

Scorpio
There arent any mountains down here, its all pretty flat.

Describe your ideal life
ricky1709
No one would be able to influence any aspect of my life except me. Thats is Utopia but only in a dream.

Tell me how you met your partner
Scorpio
Nice answer Ricky biggrin.gif

Ok do you want the real story or the one I told my parents? lol

The untrue story is that we met when I was in new york. ohmy.gif unsure.gif

What do you think about the current state of immigration and asylum in this country?
ricky1709
"Whispers back" And he still lets you lose onBUK

Does your partner visit any forums or chat rooms?
Scorpio
LOL i wasnt there looking to pull!

He only really goes on one music forum. He was on one chat site all the time when he was made redundant the first time, before we met, but that was only because he had nothing else to do besides looking for a new job.

Do you find what I just told you quite freaky?
ricky1709
No not at all I know many people that have met after being on BUK and other similar sites. There are people here I would be more than happy to meet in real life

At what age and why do you think young people should move into their own home?
Scorpio
Depends on how mature they are. Providing theyve lived on their own and supported themselves long enough before hand any time should be ok

When did you move out of your parents house?
ricky1709
I was 21 my wife was 19

Would you marry if a child were on the way
Scorpio
Some members of both our families would want that, but no. It has to be a special day, not rushed.

QUOTE (Bladerunner @ Sep 23 2004, 03:20 PM)
What is your favourite place to go for a meal and why?

I would take my partner back to Kefalonia and have a meal in one of the restaruants in the harbour.
Warm summer evenings, gentle sea breezes, Ice cold beers and not a worry in the world.

How long do you plan to work for? What I mean is what age do you think you will be able to retire at, and why?
Scorpio
At this point in my life I have no reason to think that I couldnt work until the age of retirement. The only slight disability I have is that I have 20% hearing loss in my right ear.
As for when I want to retire? Who knows. The pension that I have started at the age of 20, so I should imagine I will have enough to live on...

What time is the best time of your day?
Bladerunner
anytime that I am in conversation or meeting people

Do you like to read and if so what?
Scorpio
Yes but I never really end up making the time. I am half way through "Dude wheres my country?" by Michael Moore

What body part of your own do you like best?
Bladerunner
my eyes

Do you changed your hair colour and if so how often?
Scorpio
I used to, in either mahogany or aubergine in semi permanant dyes. But now I'm growing out the last dye I put on, cos I want to just go with my natural mid brown colour for a while because it suits my pale skin tones better. The last time I did it was about a year ago

What is your favourite song and why?
ricky1709
Queen "We are the champions" It is just charged with memories and emotion for me.

What sort of day has today been for you?
Scorpio
I found it quite boring really. I did alot of housework, which really needed doing, but i did it more so to make this place a bit more bearable for another few weeks. We hate this place now sad.gif

Why do you live where you live?
ricky1709
I was born here and have never lived anywhere else, apart from 3 months when I lived and worked in Saudi.

If you had to leave here, which country in the world would you wish to go to, and why choose it?
Bladerunner
Portugal because of the weather, golf course, being near to the Rioca region for some excellent wines and being near enough to see my daughters

Whats your favourite city/town in Britain and why?
Scorpio
Glasgow, its where my grandma grew up, and its such a beautiful city

What are your fears?
ricky1709
I am afraid of only one thing, that I will not complete all my hopes before I go to H
DoeJohn531
And you might forget to post the next interiew question. tongue.gif
Babylon
when was the last time you cried and why?
DoeJohn531
Oh a hard one, hmm.

That would be right after my mother was diagnosed with thyroid cancer (a few years ago), and she had to have her thyroid removed. After her thyroid was removed she almost completly lost control over her emotions and would go through happy, mad, sad, depressed in 10 seconds. That was when I last cried, but now there is medicen for it and she is much better.

What was you first "real job" and tell the story of how you we're hired.
Bladerunner
Clerical Assistant at Thos. W Ward, Sheffield
Staright from last day at school (the very same day) sent down by careers teacher?? went to company like a lost little lamb, knocked on door and sat facing three (what seemed to me) very ancient men. They asked me the 'interview questions' and I answered, keen and eager to say the right things. They asked me to sit outside for several minutes, then sent for me and told me I could start the next monday......
It was easy 'back in the old days......' biggrin.gif

What was the first job you left and why?
Scorpio
My first job was working in Tie Rack part time while I was at college. My dad arranged it for me cos a guy he worked with was going out with the manager.
I quickly realised that working where customers are involved wasnt right for me. No one is ever happy!. Plus, it was incredibly boring. Most of the time I had to just stand in a corner, making sure people werent gonna steal things and be there in case anyone wanted help. All that while listening to the crap music that we had to play on the stereo. AND, because they tried to be quite an upper class business, I was forever being told how not to speak to customers.
lol It really wasnt the place for me.
Luckily now I have a job where I can speak to our type of "customers" pretty much any way I please laugh.gif

What do you dislike about yourself and why?
Harlequin
I dislike my inability to “switch off”. Whenever I read or see stupidity in the media I have the urge to shout from the rooftops my disgust and anger. Others seem to be able to shut it out and carry on happily without a care in the world…I simply cannot do that! I lack the intelligence to come up with solutions to the stupidity of the world, so all I’m left with is the frustration. It often leaves me depressed and I hate it!..I’m stuck with the empathy without the release.

Who (if anyone) influenced your childhood?
Bladerunner
my parents and their inability to get on with each other or to understand how to bring up their children or how to relate to them. I have been able to reflect, grow and learn.

What would you regard as the mjor influences on your life since leaving education?
Scorpio
My bf is just the same as you HQ

I would say my younger brother Adam. Even though he is younger I wanted to follow him in everything I did. I never realised this at the time though.

What are you looking forward to?

Edit: Blade beat me to it rolleyes.gif
So to answer his question, the major influence on me since school is my job.. I started there when I was 18 and it has ended up shaping alot of my opinions, and it has made me into a stronger, more confident person.

What are you looking forward to?
